[who did it] Obsidian Press; March, 1998
(signed limited-edition hardcover; 350 copies & a 26 copy
traycased deluxe edition signed in the authors' own blood).
[chance of gettin'] The deluxe editions
are attainable, but usually around $200. You can get a signed
PC hardcover from The Official Edward Lee Bookstore.
[the skinny] Lees only novel-length
collaboration with John Pelan, a quirky horror abstraction
set in Seattle. You probably wont want to visit the place
after reading this. Poet on the psycho skids meets metamorphosing
pre-human-race nemeses. Lees takes full blame for the bad poetry.
Broken hearts and spirited eviscerations, the second novel appearance
of Lees existential-whacko police detective Jack Cordesman
(from INCUBI) and the aforementioned Professor Fredrick,
pathological bums drown crackwhores in poop, and a deal with someone
worse than the devil. Oh, and a lot of shit about art. Theres
an introduction by Lees close friend Jack Ketchum, who also
signs along with L.A. cover artist GAK.
